Snap or cut off tough ends of the asparagus. Arrange asparagus in a single layer in a shallow baking pan.
Combine oil, wine, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour over asparagus, turning to coat. Let marinate for a couple of hours.
Preheat oven to 400. When ready to bake, sprinkle cheese over the asparagus. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with cheese and garnish with lemon wedges.
